The camera is a Sony CyberShot, a simple point and shoot set on auto. Enjoy.
This is an Osprey. They normally won't let you get too close, but I guess he wasn't warmed up yet. We have a lot of these around here.

This big boy eased into the water as I was picking up Apple Snail shells. He started right down the middle of the bayou. I backed out and paddled up behind him. When I got to within 20 ft. he turned his head to the right to see what was coming up on his 6, this is when I took the pic. One second later there was a huge KERSPLOOSH and he was gone. He looked to be 12 -13 ft. long.

Just another gator sunning himself.

Found this Little Green Heron and he wasn't shy at all.

I really like this picture. I saw this Tri-colored Heron sitting on a dead limb so I stopped paddling, slowed down, and eased up on him. He let me get about 6 ft. away before he left, but I got a pic that shows his feathers and colors in great detail.

A little play on light and dark contrast on a foggy morning.

I love paddling in the Spring because the conditions are perfect: cool temps, still water, and solitude.
