Hey guys, been awhile since I've posted.
Got 3 sets of plans in my PC for boats but havent started any of them yet.
No place to build since I moved into my apt. and less time to do it.
Yeah..I know..........waaaawaaaa!
No, I don't want any cheese to go with my WHINE, thank you!
I do have a question though.
I have a fibreglas canoe with a few scrapes/scratches in the paint on the bottom.
Would it be possible to add a layer of epoxy with graphite to the already painted (gelcoated??) bottom?
None of the damage is thru-hull.
I can snap some pics if it would help any?
Thanks,
Momo
p.s.
and YESSSSS I'm working out a deal with a guy with a backyard to "loan" me some space to get building for a few bucks a month........
So gimme a break!

You'll want to remove any loose chips. In the area you want to apply the epoxy, I'd give everything a good sanding.

Be warned: gel coat cracks. I'm not sure what will happen if it cracks under the epoxy/graphite. But it would be easy enough to touch up.
