With any luck he/she should look fairly good........... well beauty is in the eye of the beholder so who cares... :D

Ummmmm Lee, if we call the person asking the question stupid.... then we are being condasending toward them for asking the question in the first place.
As I said, and in all seriousness, The stupid person is the one who thinks they don't need to ask.....or that the question is stupid, therefore they won't ask......so they end up not knowing the answer and just blunder on blindly.

Tarheel,

Many of us have built more than one boat.

For me, each and every boat has been a learning experience and there has been a learning curve on each one also.

Please ask any questions you feel like asking. Many of us have different ideas on how to do any one thing. It is just a matter of picking the idea you think will work best for you.

I didn't ask nearly enough questions before and during my first build. Subsequently, my build was less satisfactory than it could have been.

Matt's build instructions are clear, complete and concise, but there is just too much information to absorb in just one reading. Many of the answers we give here are allready given in the build instructions but it is easier to ask here than to find the answer you are looking for in 40 something pages of hard copy.

Not only that, it is the questions asked here, that give us all the opportunity to participate in your build in some small way and that is very cool. 8)
Regards,
Mick

lark2004 wrote:and don't just "feel" like 20 guy's are taking a personal interest in your boat.......it's not just a feeling, it's a fact.

My take on this has always been that the stupid people are the one's who think the question stupid...therefore they don't ask, and as a result, never get an answer, so they never find out how something should have been done.
When a person asks me a question on the web or by e-mail and they say ..... I know this is stupid but I have to ask........

My reply is .... Your question is not stupid , you are thinking and need an answer , a stupid question is the one you never ask.

Besides you have no idea how many other guy's are saying ... Man I'm happy he asked that , I had no idea on what to do and then they learn something in the process. Asking helps everyone even those to embarrassed to ask. :D

I have apearently struck some nerves with my comments about stupid questions. Earlier on another thread I was asking alot of them, and my younger brother made the "stupid people" comment to me. I related that in one of my questions, and thought everyone was in on my joke.
If I've offended anyone, please accept this apology. If you weren't offended, stick around, I'll get to you!

You're right Chuck, how could I possibly compete with a man who's still riding his bike in a fog of DDT behind the bug truck?? :P :P :P
