Was able to pull bow together fairly easily .

May not need your jig unless it's for alignment. See photo below. The thing is resting on all the twisted wires so it's off angle with the vertical -hard to tell yet. I'll check it with a plumb bob when I flip it.

I thought the stern snugged up good. The panels just overlap the lower transom.

Matt are you sure it's Ok to proceed without the upper transom part?Appears to be missing?

Mick Here they call the giant trevally "Ulua". That one was 36lbs although I did a tag & release on one a couple of weeks ago estimated 65 or so. Like lifting a cement block off the ocean floor.

The upper transom wasn't in the kit? If not, I'll send you a drawing. Will be very easy to draw and cut.

Here she is flipped. She ought to plane like hell under sail. Paddle too if I plug the drive well.

I think paddle wise she will give the Wildness Systems Tarpon 160i a run for it's money as Pelagic is 2 " narrower and probably come in 15-20 lbs lighter. With large hatch aft and rod storage will be great for long distance trips.. Maybe Matt will make a paddle version.

If you look close there is a dark line (jury rig plumb line)at the front.

Amazing to me how she lined up, AND I haven't tweeked a thing yet.

Note also the indication secondary stability should be (we'll see) good without ama system.

Just flipping it and seeing the different view really charged me up.

Matt I will need the sketch. .

I think I'm ready to tack glue. But I'm not sure if my tolarances are close enough. Here's what I mean.

The stern had looked great. I got the better half to help me turn the yak so the bow was at the garage entrance & I could back out for views far enough from the bow to see things.

After I tweeked her twice, upside down the bow looked like it plumbed great.

But look at the shots right side up before I flipped her. Seems OK

BUT look close here. I shot two pics, one with the plumb lined up low, and one with it lined up high.

Am I off too far? It's the thickness of parachute cord (the plumb).

If so what action do I take?

Or does the upside down shot indicate proceed?

Keep it flipped upside down, and ensure you have downward pressure on the hull so it's even touching the LEVEL saw horse surfaces.

Eye ball from there. Tack weld while it's upside-down, from the outside. small tack welds. Just enough material to fill the small gap and bridge the surfaces.
