Chuck i think it would , can do it all
pole it ,paddle it, run motor and scoot right along ,stable enough to walk around on
If Matt draws it up il build it ssg ,bet can build it under 75 lbs .
Even a trolling motor should scoot it right along and the hull is self bailing so it should handle rough water well
