swamp girl sides

As you know, I am in process of building another swampgirl. I am stitching the panels together and everything seems good until I get to the ends, bow and stern. Then it looks like some drunk is trying to put it together. Any body have any suggestions to make this process easier. Its got to be a better way. Thanks in advance.
