While I'm not a fan of calling anyone out, I do feel the entire story should be provided. So here we go:
You ordered the Cape Fear SOT plans on 18-Oct. I contacted you immediately and let you know that due to a technical issue, those plans had to be redrawn from scratch. I offered you the choice of allowing me a couple extra days to redraw them or I'd send the Sabalo or Wadefish plans for the same price.
Sabalo and Wadefish are more expensive. Redrawing a set of SOT kayak plans, complete with new instructions, to the level of detail I provide in a couple days is no small task.
You said you would wait for the redraw and I worked as hard and fast as I could. The redraw took me MUCH longer than I hoped but the result was very good and a nice improvement over the previous version over the Cape Fear SOT. I also kept you imformed of the progress every step of the way. I have 5-6 e-mail saved spread over time it took me to draw of you and I communicating back and forth.
I replied to your e-mail from today, which states about the same thing as your post, with this:
I print my labels and pay for them online. That means when I pay for the label it generates the delivery confirmation number I provided. It's not as detailed as a tracking number would be. The post office is bascially confirming the label was payed for and printed for your shipment. If I
don't use that label within a couple days, it become void and I lose the money I paid.
Providing a tracking service with stop-by-stop details would increase cost and I'd have to pass that cost along to you.
When they arrive to you, that delivery confirmation # will be updated to show you recieved it. But I can't provide any sort of detailed tracking
service.
The plans were shipped. If you'd like a refund, return the plans, unopened. When I get them, I will refund your payment plus the cost of shipping them back to me, so long as you don't use a rediculously expensive method to send them.
The fact that the plans didn't ship sooner bothers me. But I did provide the best options I could.
Am I truly sorry for the delay and will do the best I can to make it right. I will check the delivery confirmation number regularly and confirm when you receive the plans. Please keep me informed when you receive them and if you wish to return them.
Again, I appologize for the mix up. This is not the typical level of service I like to offer.
As a corrective action, I have reviewed all my plans to ensure they are current and available to ship. This does not help your situation and I understand your frustration.
Please give me the opportunity to make it right.
