Hi,
I saw your McInnis Bateau plan on duckworks. It looks like a very nice rowboat that I could use for flyfishing. I fish in the shallow bays on the Texas coast, so I was wondering what was the designed displacement and draft? I sometimes find redfish in 6" of water (typically kayaking) so I need a shallow draft. It find it difficult to cast from a kayak so close to the water, and its too muddy to get out and wade. Sometimes it can get windy, would I still be able to make decent progress in this compared to a kayak? Would it take a small outboard on an offset bracket to get me back in the wind? Sorry for so many questions.

Crew would be myself (200#) and one other person (150#) + 50# of fishing gear.

You'll draft about 3" with 400# on board plus hull.

As far as keeping up with a kayak, it depends. You're rowing which can generate much more power with the same effort. But a kayak is much narrower and will move through the water easier.

Since this is a double-ended, it'll move ok through the water and it will track well since the rocker is very low for a row boat.
