Anyone have a review of how the U.S. Composites branded epoxy works? From all of my shopping around, they are by far the cheapest; $212.00 for 3 gallon kit and 18 yards of 4oz cloth.

Hopefully in the next 3-4 weeks I will be ordering, would be sooner but the car decided it would like new rotors.

I've used it on a couple projects.

The 3:1 mixture on some of the hardeners is a little weird. But you get used to it.

Their cheapest epoxy has a stronger odor and will form amine blush easier than other brands. Also, if you have any sensitivity from epoxy, you might feel it quicker with their cheap stuff. So take proper ventilation measures.

In summary, it does a good job. Just be aware of possible amine blush and sensitivity/odor issues.

Still better than polyester resin!

Thanks Matt,
I have a respirator so fumes and such are not a concern. Amine blush is something I was planning on dealing with anyway so sounds like a have a winner. :D

Look here. Prices aren't to bad.
It don't blush or stink. Get the 2/1. Don't buy their "glue".
Don't buy their "penetrating resin" either. The regular resin
is pretty good.

I looked in to poxy's a few years back when I started building a
20' powerboat. The cat that sells this stuff is a chemist. I ain't
advertising or anything, but I has used the product and it is pretty
good stuff. If it was garbage I would say so too. Hey, buy what you
like. I don't care. They used to have a different web site last time I
looked. They shipped to "Kali" where everything is contriban cept
H20. I buy my painting stuff out of the "south" too.

If ya got a compressor and spray gun, look here.
