I am thiking about casting some thickened epoxy to make some bling for brides Wadefish

Painted black and then given a epoxy finish coat they should blend in with black plastic fittings I've bought

I'm thinkig plasticine for a mould or plaster of paris with some sort of release agent ( I assume you can still buy plaster of paris and its not on some toxic list)

Has anyone tried this or is there a better mould material

They have all sorts of stuff including mould making material, casting resins, pigments and release agents. This is where I buy my epoxy and glass from and although they are in Adelaide at least you can get some info/ideas from the site. If you wanted to buy from them they do sell through the web site but I imagine you could find a similar supplier in Sydney.

I've used blister packing with interesting shapes to do some epoxy molds. You can find yourself buying some unusual stuff just for the packing...
