Cape Fear on Port Phillip Bay

Took the Cape Fear out for another paddle from Ricketts Point this morning.
Paddled down along the beautiful red sandstone cliffs that are a feature of this area. Ricketts Point is a small marine sanctuary so there's no power boating or fishing here. There's an abundance of bird life along these short sections of cliff. A safe nesting place because it's inaccessible for the foxes and local cats and dogs

There were some 'yak fisho's out beyond the perimeter of the sanctuary......about 500 meters. Can't wait to get her fitted out with rod holders and anchor trolley.....and get stuck into it! :D

Olsnapa the day of my launch draws nearer isnt it great to paddle something you have built your self

Matt must get such a buzz out of seeing so many happy campers :lol:

Just thought I'd put this up for our frozen northern hemisphere friends.......
I hope it makes you feel better.......rather than worse :D
Taken 2 days ago at the appropriately named Pebble Cove in the south east part of Port Phillip Bay, about an hours drive south of where I live. It was about 10.00am and about 30 degrees C (86F)

It should be called "Hull Scrapin' Cove". Great picture, thanks from the cold north.

Cheers fella's...
Scottrunnr.......fishing wasn't so great. One flathead that was under regulation size so had to go back in.
A couple of other hookups but no landing. Not sure what they were although I think one might have been a small stingray. I was kind of glad it threw the hook......don't really fancy trying to land a 'ray in the kayak.
It was such a perfect day, I went for a swim instead..... :D
