In Canada, I'm gonna drizzle honey on Chuckie's (Crackericus Droolicus) hammock. In the Okefenoke, I'll drizzle sardine juice on his paddle.

Real paddlers have calluses on there hands and do not need gloves. Never have used gloves and never needed to , that paddle just fits my hands like it should.
Could be just the way I look at things and do them. I don't drive a BMW .... Just an Jeep Wrangler (soft top) with boats on the top rack of it and camping gear in the back.

Jack .. I am saving some bacon grease in a roll on container for you to use as a deodorant when we are in Canada and Bear country.

Good to go Matt. Hooked up PayPal, this mornin'. So in the progression, ....started with "Sabalo", then the WadeFish, then Micks's WadeFish, then the Double WadeFish, then the WadeFish2 (with Mick's suggestions) that DangerMouse is building from a kit. Is this one the same as DangerMouse's, or yet another version? Not that it makes a difference, just curious to the evolution.

Yea, I don't use gloves either. Matter of fact the closest thing I have is a pair of Wool Rag Finger Combo Glove/Mitttens. I used them in Washington State. The "Sound" gets nippy in Jan & Feb. Needed to use the "Paddlin' gloves" to "Spin the yarn". Comin' Sparkey, I'm sure you've "Stretched a tale or two"

I have a few minor changes in mind (ie,....flush mounted hatches, using earth magnets as latching devices, each is 1/2" dia. x 1/8" thick, with 6 lb holding strength each, ). I really want to hear suggestions. Thanks

interesting idea. If you can get the magnets to hold to the hull or hatch cover, they should hold a good seal with some gasketing material.

P4S, What is an earth magnet? Sounds up front like it attracts dirt.

Only suggestion I'd make is don't trust your hatches to only the magnet. Add a strap over the hatch to limit outer travel. Magnets will hopefully hold tight up against the seal; straps will retain from being ripped off under severe conditions.

rare earth magnets are super strong magnets. I have some the size of a pencil eraser and if it gets on a metal surface, I have use pliers to pull it off.
