touring pirogue measurments

Post by guest »

Hello all,
I have started the measurments on the touring pirogue. I have layed out and cut the forms. I have layed out the measurments on both sheets of plywood. My question is on sheet 1.1 on the side forward measurment it is 7/8" and 11 1/4" on the second sheet (sheet 2.1) it is 5/8" and 11". if the sheets are to mate up wouldnt the measurments be the same if coming off the end of one sheet to the beginning of another sheet?. this is where they mate together ( I noticed at the bottom forward and bottom aft they are the same 12 1/8 and 35 7/8) I hope you can understand this message , not sure how clear it is. any help is appreciated.

A very good analysis. But the two sheets are NOT meant to butt together and line up perfectly.

G'day Guest,

I have built this boat mate. The plans are correct.. Cut as per the plans and your boat will turn out fine :D

11 1/4 minus 7/8 and 11 minus 5/8 both come out to 10 3/8, so the panels will be the same width.
