Matt,

More traditional" is exactly the target client. I'll probably sell this via Duckworks like the other row boat I sell through them.

Like I said, the first version will be as close as the Grant Guideboat.

I think that would be a very good call.

I don't think anyone here will argue when I say your boat designs are second to none.
Design it the way YOU think it should be & it'll be a winner.

Nice look Matt. I was thinking more of a drift boat design where the oarsman is back of center to the stern and facing forward. We have a few drift boats here but one of this shape would fit our Ozark rivers nicely.

Aye god, Matt - it DOES look like a Viking dragon ship.

Also appears to have little to no rocker. Will the final have that configuration?

Guideboats don't have much rocker. About 1.25" on each end.

Got a couple of boats to build first mate

but I think something like this would be a definate winner here.

Will be talking to you about something a little similar to this a bit later in the year.

There is a germ of an idea starting to form in my little mind at the moment but I need some time to digest things. I think your guide boat - as is, will prove very popular.

BTW, Blokes here, hunted humpback whales in similar hulls launching from the beach and at times through surf in places like Byron Bay, and Tangalooma on Moreton Island as recently as the 50s and 60s. This is strong testament to this hull types sea worthyness and capability.

Just wondering if this has moved on any further ??

I have gathered a lot of information about them but really need a plan to work from???

Any idea when these will be available ??

I live too far away for a kit so would just need a set of plans, if you are just selling kits I will look elsewhere.

But I would really like a set of your plans to work from
