I like it - I have been looking at the Penn Yan Trail boat...lovely lines and similar construction to the guideboat

I'll keep the same lines but it will be stitch and glue construction. No ribs every 8". I'll have 4 ribs total but they will be more like open frames than ribs.

So it won't be an exact replica, but I think it's pretty darn close and can be built for for about 1/3 of the price and done in less than 1/3 of the time.

Your going to use glass to strengthen the hull?

Should be a neat boat - look forward to seeing the final product

Matt, Have you done any more work on this boat? Not trying to rush you. I don't know for sure if I would ever build it, but am still thinking about it.

Stand is a guideboat? NO!!!

They are meant for speed, not stability. :)
