Spent a couple of hours on TV this afternoon and got the problems pretty much sorted. :D

Hull is now tacked up and hope to get all the stitches out in a day or so. 8)

Still can't work out what I did wrong in the mark out but not to worry, even the very worst of my mistakes ( this was pretty darn close to that) are pretty easy to fix 8)

A few wedges here and there are a very big help at times.

Hey Mick
Looking real good. How are the wedges working. I mean what
are they doing. Curios.

G'day Coogs,

I mis-cut and/or over trimmed the centre seams in the botom panels.

When I stitched them together, instead of forming a nice linneal curve along the length of the seam, there were dips and ridges.

By loosening the wire ties a little and some judicious placement of little wedges here and there, to widen the gap between the panels a little, I was able to spead the seam where needed to achieve the nice fair lines.

Stitches have been removed, and I still wasn't quite happy enough with the bottom seam so I cut a couple of tacks today, used more wedges and now is looking pretty good.

I should point out here that the problems I have been having are entirely my own fault. I didn't mark, cut and trim nearly accurately enough and am paying the price for my carelessness now. No excueses, I messed up, simple as that. I won't be making this mistake again, but no doubt, there will be plenty of other ones for me to make.
Regards,
Mick

Thanks guys,

Lee, the dog, (Puku) is an Italian greyhound. Just like the real greyhound, only small. About the height of a rat terrier only leaner & with longer legs. Probably one of the smartest dogs I have ever had though not real suitable for little kids. They can be a little nippy at times and wont tolerate kids tormenting them.

So far, Puku 3, grand kids, nil :D She didn't really hurt em - just let em know pulling ears & tail etc is unacceptable. :D

Oh yeah, Got nothing done today. Too cold and it seems my flu thing might be coming back.
Regards,
Mick

Hey Mick,

I just ordered my plans for the TV. You guys make this look like too much fun. I couldn't resist any longer. I can only hope that my canoe will turn out as beautiful as all of yours. My plans show only 4 frames. Could that be because the plans have changed?

G'day Goats and welcome aboard mate.

Thanks for the very kind words re my boats. Each one I try to improve a little.

Re the temp frames, I don't know. My plans came with eight.

Mick actually has a set or prototype plans that include a deck option. Those prototype plans had 8 temp frames, which is not typical but done just for the prototype plans.
