G'day Coogs,
I mis-cut and/or over trimmed the centre seams in the botom panels.
When I stitched them together, instead of forming a nice linneal curve along the length of the seam, there were dips and ridges.
By loosening the wire ties a little and some judicious placement of little wedges here and there, to widen the gap between the panels a little, I was able to spead the seam where needed to achieve the nice fair lines.
Stitches have been removed, and I still wasn't quite happy enough with the bottom seam so I cut a couple of tacks today, used more wedges and now is looking pretty good.
I should point out here that the problems I have been having are entirely my own fault. I didn't mark, cut and trim nearly accurately enough and am paying the price for my carelessness now. No excueses, I messed up, simple as that. I won't be making this mistake again, but no doubt, there will be plenty of other ones for me to make.
